Leslie has done an incredible job of painstakingly rewording these meaty volumes so that the average mom with a baby in her lap and two at her side can actually sit down and read and grasp the concepts Miss Mason was trying to present in elegant form.

It's like she literally translated sentence by sentence from what may as well have been another language! I had tried the other and could not get through it

But they can be wordy and difficult, so it helps to have them "translated" into modern English She puts the page s in there to the original so you know where you are in the book and for reference

Even with my Classical Christian background, I found here original work difficult to get through especially since I was trying to read it with 4 little kids under foot! I am so thankful that Leslie devoted so much time and effort into doing this for us!
